In the case of KC Pet Project’s Furlough campaign, that’s a very good thing.
DMH devised a way to help KCPP raise funds for operations and get dogs adopted, all in one weekend event. Dogs were sponsored for a weekend on ‘Furlough’ where they got to stay with a family and attend VID (Very Important Dog) events throughout the city. This past year, all the dogs were adopted and KCPP raised tens of thousands of dollars to continue their amazing mission.
