Senior Account Manager

DMH is looking for a Senior Account Manager with at least 5 years of advertising agency experience to lead and grow relationships with our valued clients. In this role, you’ll be the main contact between our clients and our agency. You’ll help lead projects big, medium, and small, ensuring that our work meets deadlines and best practices. You’ll be the one who keeps clients aware of how things are going while making sure our internal teams have all the information they need to succeed.

We’re looking for someone with combination of brand development and digital marketing experience, and who loves being pro-active and responsive, because it takes a lot of communication to move projects along and keep everyone on the same page. You’ll need to be extremely detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and great at both developing and giving presentations. The more you know about both traditional and digital advertising techniques, the better – and we’ll help you learn to put that knowledge to even greater strategic use. We’ll teach you what you need to know about DMH, but you’ll need to know the ad agency industry to succeed here.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:


Client Relationship

  • Excellent understanding of client’s business, industry and competition
  • Oversee key contacts for any partner relationships
  • Always responsive and professional, consistently develops ideas to grow assigned client business
  • Generally viewed by clients as primary day-to-day contact
  • Handles independent client meetings and consulting

Agency Stewardship

  • Oversees the balance of demanding client requests and overall agency priorities
  • Consistently brings ideas to the table
  • Defends agency recommendations with a rationale
  • Demonstrates the ability to maintain grace under pressure
  • Understands problem solving and involving a supervisor or director immediately if/when problems arise

Job Specific Process

  • Excellent creative briefs and brand attributes documents
  • Effectively leads the initiation of all client projects with client and the internal teams
  • Excellent understanding of all DMH processes and can teach them to AAM and AM
  • Strong critical eye for maintaining creative work against approved strategic objectives

Information Gathering Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge base of different tactical executions and their unique requirements
  • Proven ability to generate good questions, good listener

Financial Management

  • Develops excellent scopes of work and tracks all approvals
  • Manages project budgets and deadlines
  • Co-chair internal billing process and client invoices with AM/AS
  • Thorough understanding of compensation agreement between client and agency, and P&L
  • Works with AS on projecting annual budget and tracking

We have a hybrid working model where employees need to be able to commute to our Kansas City office location weekly.
